Who Is Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal

Tab Trade - The Short Version

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, that range is solid.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That would be a good addition when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.

Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

This is the part that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does factor into your assessment.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
